The Samarkand Regional Security and Sustainable Development Conference on November 10 and 11, 2017


Samarkand, Uzbekistan, hosted the Regional Security and Sustainable Development Conference on 10 and 11 November 2017. The organizers of the Conference were the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the United Nations Regonal Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia and the Regional Office of the United Nations Office on Drugs an Crime in Central Asia.

More than 500 professionals attended the event, including foreign ministers from Central Asian countries, high-ranking officials from the CIS countries, Europe, Asia and America, heads of more than 10 international organisations, including the UN, EU, OSCE, SCO, CIS, EBRD, about 100 world media representatives and members of the diplomatic corps in Uzbebistan
